Using Google Meet with In Parallel

Updated 9 August 2026

There’s no separate “Google Meet integration” to install. If a meeting on your connected calendar has a Google Meet link, the Recorder joins it the same way it joins any other meeting.

How it works

  1. Connect the calendar that contains the meeting — go to Settings → Account → Connections and connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. This is what lets In Parallel see the meeting in the first place. See Connect your calendar and notification tools.
  2. Leave Recorder joining on — each meeting has its own Recorder joining toggle (on by default). When it’s on, the Recorder joins the call — including Google Meet calls — and captures execution signals.
  3. A signed-in notetaker avoids Google Meet’s host-admission prompt where possible, for a smoother join.

After the call, In Parallel prepares the meeting Notes and any available Actions the same way it does for other captured meetings — see Review meeting Notes and Actions.

Troubleshooting

If the Recorder isn’t joining your Google Meet calls, see Troubleshooting: Integrations — most causes are the per-meeting Recorder joining toggle being off, or the calendar connection missing.
